I don’t like my teeth. Should I just have them pulled?
If you don’t like the way your teeth look or if they are causing problems for you, it might be tempting to just ask us to pull them all and replace them with prosthetics. The important thing to keep in mind, however, is that nothing is better than your natural teeth. We will do everything we can to save your natural teeth before we recommend pulling them.
If you have damaged teeth, you might want to talk to us about dental crowns. If you are missing a few teeth, perhaps a dental bridge could fill in the space. A bridge would also improve your ability to chew as well as help protect the health of adjacent teeth.
If you are unhappy with the way your teeth look but they are otherwise healthy, there are cosmetic dentistry options that can give you the smile you wish you had been born with. Porcelain veneers can take stained, misshapen, or crooked teeth and make them beautifully straight and white. If you have stained or otherwise discolored teeth, professional teeth whitening can be a life changer.
The bottom line is that we will work with you to save your natural teeth whenever possible. If the problems with your teeth are too severe to correct with dental work, we can discuss last-resort treatment options with you, such as dental implants.
