At Smile Designs of Long Island, we are your neighborhood dentist. Dr. Edward Sloyer and Dr. Brian J. Davis, as well as our entire team of professionals, enjoy doing what they do. We do our best to give our patients the very best in modern dentistry.

Meet Our Team
Edward Sloyer, DDS
Dr. Edward Sloyer received both his undergraduate and dental degrees from New York University with a post-doctoral program at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. With a special emphasis on cosmetic and implant dentistry, he has maintained a quality-oriented private practice in the Hicksville-Plainview area for more than 30 years.
Dr. Sloyer is active in the community. He conducts elementary school programs and participates in the “Give Kids a Smile Program,” providing free oral screening to children with limited access to these services. He has also partnered with Catholic Charities, providing dental care to Long Island families in need.
A world traveler, Dr. Sloyer has completed a humanitarian trip to Cuba and recently visited townships in South Africa, where he promoted dental care to preschoolers.
In 2017 Dr. Sloyer was selected Top Dentist by NY Top Docs. Dr. Sloyer is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society and a long-standing member of the South Shore Dental Study Club. In addition to travel, his passions include photography, music, and golf.
Brian Davis, DDS, FICOI
Dr. Brian Davis received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Lawrence University and completed his dental degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he received several awards for his accomplishments in dental esthetic and prosthodontic treatment.
He also completed a dental residency at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York, where he received additional training in all phases of dentistry. He is certified by Invisalign as a preferred provider.
Thanks to his additional training and experience in placing and restoring dental implants, Dr. Davis was awarded a fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is currently an active member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Karen - Front Desk, Receptionist
Karen has been with Smile Designs of Long Island since August of 2010. She is a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs Business School, where she was on the Dean’s List. She enjoys her position and doing her part to ensure that things run smoothly. She also likes interacting with patients, helping them to realize the best possible dental experience.
Originally from West Babylon, Karen enjoys spending time her husband, children, and six grandchildren, as well as gardening, reading, and going to the beach.
Veronica - Front Desk, Receptionist
Veronica received her training at the New York College of Health Professions. Originally from Levittown, New York, she loves the family atmosphere at Smile Designs of Long Island as well as the fact that each day brings with it new challenges.
Recognized prior to her medical office career for forensics and singing, Veronica has a multitude of hobbies, including bowling, working out, and painting oil portraits. She also enjoys watching movies and spending time with family.
Dayanara - Front Desk, Receptionist
Dayanara has been with Smile Designs of Long Island for about a year, and she enjoys the teamwork of running the office efficiently with her coworkers to ensure patient satisfaction. A Flushing, New York, native, she is also a licensed cosmetologist who enjoys styling hair for special occasions.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son and family, as well as going to the beach in warm weather.
Quetz - Dental Assistant
A native of Puerto Rico, Quetz loves the challenge and variety her job provides. Quetz has been with Smile Designs of Long Island for 14 years, and she loves her patients—as well as her bosses.
When she is not assisting one of the doctors, you can probably find Quetz playing her guitar, practicing meditation, running, doing gyrotonics exercise, going for walks, playing bingo with her family, or gardening.
Siomary - Dental Assistant
Siomary previously worked at a dental laboratory for seven years and has been dental assisting for two decades. Twelve of those years have been with Smile Designs of Long Island.
A self-described people person, she loves meeting and interacting with all of her patients. Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, she enjoys oil painting, movies, and animals.
Marci - Registered Dental Hygienist
Educated at New York University and SUNY Farmingdale, Little Neck, Queens native Marci has been with Smile Designs of Long Island for seven years. She loves everything about her job—especially making nice smiles for patients.
In her free time, Marci loves spending time with family and watching her kids play hockey, baseball, and volleyball.
Gina - Registered Dental Hygienist
Gina, who has an associate’s degree in dental hygiene as well as a Bachelor of Science degree, has been with Smile Designs of Long Island for 37 years. She loves her patients and is dedicated to improving their dental and overall health. Gina finds it rewarding to see and treat patients and their families from one generation to the next.
This Plainview native loves to read, hike, bike, garden, travel, and go to the theater. She and her husband are blessed with three sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren.
